WELCOME
Formed in 2019, SWAG is a registered non-profit run entirely by volunteers. We are passionate about the conservation of wildcats around the world like tigers, cheetahs, clouded leopards, and the leopard cat.
We believe in taking meaningful action to achieve our mission: to build a network of supporters for wildcat conservation, and raise funds to save the critically endangered Malayan Tiger.
Key Activities:
- Raise awareness of wildcat conservation through regular lectures, and an annual conference on tigers.
- Take action for wildcats, for example, participating in Citizen Action for Tigers (CAT Walk) and painting a community mural to raise awareness about leopard cats
- Educate children about wildcats, and nurture a love for wildlife
- Raise funds for the Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers through various fundraisers and the sale of SWAG merchandise.

Singapore and Malaysia, Saving the Malayan Tiger Together
The primary goal of Singapore Tiger Week is to spur action against the illegal wildlife trade and poaching that is decimating tiger populations across Asia, and closer to home, where the Malayan tiger is close to extinction. Additionally, it aims to strengthen the cooperation and collaboration between Singapore and Malaysia towards saving the Malayan tiger from its imminent extinction.
This event was held in conjunction with Heart for Nature celebrating World Animal Day, and Our Wild Neighbours campaign, and is supported by National Parks Board, Singapore, and the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions, National University of Singapore. We were thrilled to have His Royal Highness, the Regent of Pahang, Crown Prince Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustapha Billah Shah and Minister Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, as our Guests-of-Honour for this event.
Singapore Tiger Week brought together stakeholders in combatting the illegal wildlife trade and poaching, the conservation community and supporting agencies, embassies of ASEAN countries based in Singapore, other international embassies interested in contributing to tiger conservation, private sectors keen on biodiversity conservation, and the general public.
With better understanding of the main threat to tigers and networking with the relevant stakeholders across the two nations, our conference participants strengthened tiger conservation by responding to the call to specific actions.
Eminent speakers from Malaysia and Singapore were invited, representing government and non-government organisations in the fight to save the Malayan tiger. Each of our speakers brought with them great value to the topic at hand, and showcased it from different perspectives.
SWAG believes that the conservation of the Malayan tiger is as close to your heart as it is to ours and we believe that together, we can make a difference to save the Malayan tigers from the brink of extinction.
